Dr. Marshall Foster - World History Institute
For thirty years, Dr. Marshall Foster has taught the Gospel of Liberty and inspired Americans from all walks of life to return to the biblical and historical foundations of liberty and to the God who has so richly blessed our nation.
America has wandered far from its original vision. But throughout the last three decades, Marshall Foster has provided a constant, powerful, and truthful call to all Americans to peacefully restore our "One Nation under God."
In 1976, Marshall and his wife, Trish, founded the World History Institute, a nonprofit educational foundation which has spread the Gospel of Liberty worldwide, teaching the biblical foundations of Constitutional government, the free enterprise system, and traditional education. The World History Institute (formerly the Mayflower Institute) has become a major force in the movement to restore our nation to its Judeo-Christian heritage. Under Marshall’s dynamic leadership, the Institute has reached millions of Americans with America’s "untold heritage." He has trained tens of thousands through live seminars in 31 states, Canada, and Europe. His weekly syndicated radio broadcast, "Our American Inheritance," reached hundreds of thousands of our fellow citizens on the weekly half-hour program.
The World History Institute has produced numerous educational seminars on topics including The Constitution and The Bill of Rights; The American Covenant, the Untold Story; The Life and Character of George Washington; Colonial Pastors and their Influence; The History of Free Enterprise; The Battle for the 21st Century - a Family and Community Strategy; and The Holy Cause of Liberty. With Marshall’s leadership, the World History Institute has become a major force in training people worldwide in a biblical worldview and its application to culture.
Marshall is collaborating with actor Kirk Cameron on a film titled Monumental: In Search of America’s National Treasure, which is expected to be released in theaters in February 2012. It depicts the strategy to save America left by the country’s Founding Fathers. The basis of the film revolves around the National Monument to the Forefathers in Plymouth, Massachusetts, which is a large statue of Faith, encircled by smaller depictions of Liberty, Law, Education, and Morality.
The film features Kirk Cameron and is envisioned by Marshall who notes that the monument lays out the blueprint to reclaim America’s biblical foundation.
"[It explains] the code of what we need to do to save America - and it is the large statue of Faith; and Faith is pointing the finger to God and has an open Geneva Bible in the right hand and a star of wisdom," he explains. "So that obviously if you want wisdom to live life, to be free, to do all things, it must involve faith in the Almighty through Christ; it must involve the Bible giving you wisdom and your mind is enlightened." Foster contends Christianity is what made America great, and that every Christian is called to be a liberator because they have been set free.
Marshall has written three books and numerous syndicated articles. His best-selling book, The American Covenant, the Untold Story, has become an effective training tool in hundreds of Bible studies, classrooms, and study groups nationwide. The American Covenant book and accompanying seminar have had a deep and lasting impact upon the grass-roots movement to restore our nation.
The World History Institute and the Christian Broadcasting Network have co-produced a popular motion picture entitled The American Covenant, the Untold Story, based upon Marshall Foster’s book of the same name. This movie, narrated by Marshall Foster, has aired on the "700 Club," numerous other television programs, and has been viewed in thousands of homes, churches, schools, and study groups.
Dr. Marshall Foster and the World History Institute are poised to offer training and inspiration to a new generation for a lasting renewal in America and around the world.
